Introducción.

El presente blog es una actividad que el maestro Juan Enrique Cabrales de la asignatura Ingles IV nos sugirió realizar para que pudiéramos mejorar nuestra habilidad para escribir en inglés y para darnos cuenta de que el estilo de escribir en inglés no es lo mismo que en español, no todos los blogs están corregidos.

Me gustó ésta actividad ya que pude publicar por éste medio temas de gran importamcia y dar a conocer a los demás mis gustos y personajes a quienes admiro mucho y que no todos mis compañeros sabían, espero les guste.

Saturday Night.

On October 25th. I went to a party with my friends to Byblos discotheque. That night, I wanted to see a wedding that was broadcasted by television. My friends knew that I would arrive late there.

But my surprise was that Claudia went to Karina’s house and then she called me to tell me that Karina had gone with her boyfriend to the discotheque.

My cousin and I picked up Claudia because she was alone in a store and we took her to our house. We were there on time. Claudia waited for me in the garage while I was dressing to go together to the discotheque, for this reason I didn’t get to see the wedding completely. We went to the gas station and we arrived to Byblos. There were a few of the pèople . We met Karina, Pablo, Karla, Ivan, Sarah and her friends . They were standing up and when they saw us, we picked some seats and we started to chat and enjoy the music.

I had not gone to a dicotheque for a year, that night I felt very happy to be there, I danced a lot with my cousin. I forgot about my problems before the party was over. My cousin, Luis José, and I danced with guys from other degree. One of them was celebrating his birthday and he invited us to the dancefloor. We were the stars of the night.

That night was great!!!

Prince Charles' Birthday

Many people receive gifts or conform with cake, but when one is the Prince of Wales, also receives a salute of 41 cannons in the Center of London.

Last weekend my girlfriend and I arrived at your popular cafeteria looking for a very nice time to spend together. The motto in your windows says “where your friends are as special as you are”, unfortunately the service that day didn’t reflect those words.

As soon as we arrived there we had the chance to sit at a table and we waited for almost half and hour for a waiter to help us. There were not too many people for this to happen but I have to point out that the music was good and this helped us to be patient.

However, when we were finally serviced the waiter spilt a cup of coffee on my brand new jacket. It costed me $50 to have it cleaned.

My jacket doesn’t look that good anymore. I had never had an experience such as this anywhere. I hope you can understand my complaint because I want you to refund the money for another brand new jacket.

BAYVIEW INN!

Dear Sir or Madam:

1. On July 16 my friends and I arrived at your inn hoping to spend an enjoyable weekend. Unfortunately, because of your poor service, our weekend was a disaster.Since your ad says "have a fabulous time or get your money back," I am requesting that you refund our money.

2. From the moment we arrived, there were problems with the service. First, a very unfriendly desk clerk couldn't find our reservation. After waiting almost half an hour, we were led by another unfriendly clerk to our room. The room, which had a view of a parking lot instead of the bay, had not yet been cleaned, so we found dirty towels on the beds and cigarette butts in the ashtrays. Despite these problems, none of your employees apologized to us. This was not the weekend we had been looking forward to.

3. Service at your inn was not always like this. My previous visits were always enjoyable because of the courteous service and clean rooms with beautiful views. I expect to receive my refund shortly.

Lucy Gomez

Lucy Gomez is the most creative person I know. She started piano lessons when she was only 6 years old. At school, she was always creating interesting projects in her art class. When she was only 12 years old, she won a citywide poetry contest. Her parents were very proud of her.

Now Lucy woks as a sitcom writer for a popular TV show. She works with a group of writers, and together they have to think of fresh ideas. They also have to come up with funny dialog for the actors on their show because the actors have to play believable characters that will make the audience laugh. It is not an easy job, but Lucy does it well.

She starts work late in the morning and often works until 7 or 8 at night.

Lucy is very curious. She likes to travel and meet new people who have opinions that are different from hers. She often carries a notebook with her and writes down what she sees and hears. Lucy tells me that these new experiences are a good source of ideas for her work. I always enjoy talking to her and I am happy to know someone as bright and creative as Lucy.

High School.

- When I think about high school, I have both good and bad memories. During high school, the future seemed very far away. Now that I’m older, I think about those days a lot.

- I remember the first day of classes, the majority of the pupils were of same secondary, I did not know them, it became me difficult to adapt to the group, I had liked that my companions of the secondary school were entering with me, but they went away to high school others, I knew older girls, sometimes I was going out with them for the discoteque and I stayed in house of a friend, but in the majority of the times I was not going because they could not take me to my house and my I do not like to sleep in foreign house. On the other hand, if I had had a particular teacher I had not battled with any matters as Physics and Mathematics

- The teachers were very kind, unlike the teacher of dance, who was demanding from us great discipline, in his class only there were women, with the time the teacher was changing his character, but at the moment of doing a festival he was making us buy the wardrobe which I did not like because it was very simple .

- I am grateful with the teacher of dance because I became in a good shape, I knew my classmates, I knew the electronic music and the schools of dance. Good and bad experiences are a part of everyone’s high school years, we learn from them and makes us better.

Dolphins in the shore.

One day I was taking a walk on the beach and stopped to look at the waves. Suddenly, I thought I saw something struggling in the water. It looked like a man who was having trouble swimming. At the moment, I reached for my glasses, and then remembered I’d left them at home.I couldn’t see the object clearly.

Just then, a big wave came, and the man was gone, I ran as fast as I could to get the lifeguard. As soon as we arrived back at the spot where I had seen the man, the lifeguard looked through his binoculars, he said he didn’t see a thing.

I was pretty embarrased. The next day, I bought a newspaper. There was an article about dolphins swimming near the shore. When I read the article. I realized that I had seen a dolphin in the water – not a man!. After that, I never went anywhere without my glasses again.

Blue's clues.

My favorite cartoon is Blue, it has an Educational program for children that combines the real image with the animation.

In Blue’s Clues its presenter, Steve Burns, in a virtual environment and accompanied by the animated dog Blue, is proposing riddles that children must resolve.

I would like to have objects of it, and I would like to receive a cake decorated with her characters, if the cartoon was selling in dvd I would buy and decorate my room with the characters of Blue, if someone has things of it as posters, stickers, toys, any thing, they will be received well for me, you do not know how much I love this cartoon, it is one of the things that make me happy very much!!!.

A perfect wedding.

If young couples want to get married in my country, both should love a lot, which are well known, that family members will agree with the decision of the bride and groom no problems on both sides because when they want to visit their families are not more time at home of the bride or groom.

Is traditional that the father of the bride cover the cost of the wedding, the festival hall, musicians, the cake. The groom pays the Church with flowers and music, the photographer, the wines, the invitations,the bride's dress, rings, the groom’s suit, the couple must have ready the place where they will live and they must save money for the honeymoon.

Thousands of motorcyclists parade in Milwaukee, The United States.

The motorcyclists gathered on Saturday August 30 at a parade of Harley Davidson, displaying flags and gretting to the crowd that gathered along his route to celebrate the 105 anniversary of the Harley Davidson Company.

Approximately 7,500 shining motorcycles toured roaring 7.2 kilometers (4.5 miles) of the route near Lake Michigan.

Huatulco

Hello, I'm Verónica welcome to my blog, I hope you like it, I am the kind of person who likes animals, going to the gym, music and go out with my friends.

I will speak first of friendship: I think that everyone, sometimes in our lives, we have had, or we have great friends, not the occasional friend or that friend who you just asking for money no! I mean that when we are sad there is, it is difficult to find or have a friend, right? I think that the true friends you can accounts with the fingers of one hand and until spare, also can be somebody who knows when you were doing in a nightclub row.
One of the biggest treasures that someone can have are his friends. I think is important to love them for who they are and not for what we want that they are.

I love going to the gym, I practice aerobics, the benefits of aerobic exercise are designed to give to the body a healthier form. Another advantage is that after performing aerobics you can see how you reduce weight and size, while your body works coordinated and manage all muscles achieving greater relaxation and exercise each one body parts. Getting that most parts of the body are turned and that they are much more pleasant at sight, at the same time that you feel better, increase your self-esteem and your security to see you in a mirror.

My favorite artist is Michael Jackson, I like his voice, his dances, his videos, everything, if I could see him in person, I would hug him and I would say that I love him, I would like to be his girlfriend!!!.

In spite of many plastic surgery and so much scandal, he remains beloved by his fanatics and by me. Michael Jackson is about to turn 50 years old, and released a compilation disc entitled "King of Pop" which will appear on next August 25th. The British public who will choose the best songs of the artist, to form part of the album, by voting on the website of The Sun newspaper and GMTV channel.
Topics as big as Thriller, Black or White or Billie Jean undoubtedly be part of this compilation that will make us remember how cool is Michael.

Rainy day

On Friday I arrived late to school because it was raining, I left my house and walk to the corner my clothes were wet completely, the good thing is that my cousin picked me up, but before I change clothes.

I woke up on Saturday with a sore throat, I went with my friends to study for the exam, I took my medicine, I feel better already.

On Sunday I stayed at home, I read the newspaper, I saw a tv program about funny videos, then I slept awhile, and I decided to finish my homework and to continue studying.

Madonna in México.

Other one of my idols is Madonna, she is beautiful, she has an enviable body, the queen of pop expired 50 years of age, her name is Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone, she was born on Agust 16,1958 in Michigan, she is the singer who has sold more discs in the 20th century, she feasted her birthday with her husband, the filmmaker Guy Ritchie in a night club in London with a big party that assembled relatives and friends.

Madonna will offer two concerts in Mexico on 29 and 30 November, with her Sticky and Sweet tour, the tickets were sold out in minutes, her concerts are incredible, I admire very much Madonna because she is very intelligent, attractive, she has imposed fashion, everything that she propose achieves it, is an example of personal and artistic life.
